Combined heat and power (CHP) plants have opportunities to work as distributed generation for providing demand. Furthermore, CHP contribute effectively overcoming the intermittence of renewable energy sources well load dynamics. need optimal solution(s) electrical demand simultaneously within smart network environment. or cogeneration plant operations appropriate techno-economic dispatching combined with minimising produced cost. The interrelationship between development in a unit, valve point loading effect, forbidden working regions thermal make economic dispatch’s (CHPED) objective function discontinuous. It adds complexity CHPED optimisation process. key is operating cost minimisation while meeting desired To optimise dispatch operation, three different algorithms, like Jaya algorithm, Rao 3 hybrid algorithm (based on first two) are adopted containing equality inequality restrictions generating units. developed by authors, it can handle all constraints. success suggested algorithms assessed two test systems; 5-units 24-unit plants.
